There was nothing remarkable surrounding the circumstances of Jackson Boote's entry into the world. He was born the eldest of what would be two children to Steven, a mechanic, and Glenda, an unemployed single mother in the town of Austin in Texas. Life was simple; there wasn't much to share between the foursome but what they had they appreciated, and Jackson was content with his cousin's hand-me-downs and the fact that he would likely never be the first one in class with the latest toy or gadget. It was Jackson's eighth birthday when his father announced he was moving out to be with his much younger mistress. Monthly visits turned into bi-monthly which turned into Christmas and birthdays until eventually, by the time Jackson reached his teens, the Boote children didn't have much of a father at all.
A typical class clown, Jackson wasn't exactly a shining example of scholastic perfection. In fact, his downright mediocre grades could only really be attributed towards his borderline arrogance that one day he'd be rich and famous, so what did he need school for? His classmates and teachers alike all rolled his eyes at his grand declarations, but sure enough, right after his graduation in 1998 Jackson began auditioning for agents and commercials in the city and it wasn't long before he was in their magazines advertising supermarket produce and men's clothing sales.
But his fame wasn't about to stop there. By the time Jackson was 20 he had joined a male stripper troupe based in Los Angeles which topped up his mediocre modeling and movie extra wage, although it wasn't exactly the most fulfiling of job roles. It meant that he was able to afford acting classes and a decent agent, all of which contributed towards his first proper acting gig in 2004. A one episode role in American Dreams wasn't much to boast about but it was a good start, and a small acting role quickly followed in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The role that started to get Jackson noticed was in the successful horror movie Cloverfield, and Jackson went on to have small roles in moderately successful movies until his first leading part in Dear John.
Jackson met the woman who would go on to become his fiancee during high school and the two had been inseparable, with his girlfriend following him to Los Angeles after his move in 2001. The term 'high school sweethearts' could easily be applied to what they found in each other, though things suddenly became far more serious when a pregnancy test gave a positive result in 2010. Doing what he thought was the right thing, Jackson proposed and the two planned to marry in their native Texas, enjoying a couple of months of happiness before the stress of a pregnancy and media interest started to wear the couple thin. Their story ended tragically when his fiancee miscarried during her eighth month of pregnancy and the stress ultimately ended the relationship; she relocated back to Texas and Jackson faced the reality of being single for the first time since high school.
Frequently cast as a supporting character in a successful movie, it hasn't been until the last few years that studios have cast him as a leading male capable of carrying a film on his own back - he was even involved in the creation of a movie which was loosely based off his time spent in a stripper troupe in 2012's Magic Mike. Nowadays Jackson keeps a small apartment in Texas and a house in Los Angeles, preferring to spend his downtime at home and staying on the west coast to work. His star is definitely a rising one and he's come a long way from his male stripper days - but in Jackson's mind, he's only just getting started.
